“Trust in the living God, who is the Savior of ALL humanity.” (1 Tim. 4:10)
What to do with Paul's evangel?
"Prescribe and teach these things." (1 Tim. 4:11)
“Give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
What is seen today are mostly political evangelists - join our group or burn in hell forever. Building, sustaining, and growing a religious business has replaced announcing the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ - the salvation of all - which is the will of God, and what believers are to "prescribe and teach" today. It is a successful gospel rather than a failure of their weak God who cannot overcome the free will of sinful humanity.
When announcing the true gospel, the successful one, what can you expect from Satan? Well, you rouse his ire and the ire of those masquerading as servants of righteousness. Paul said this about the Jewish religious leaders who challenged his gospel of grace:
"But I will keep on doing what I am doing, in order to undercut those who want an opportunity to be regarded as our equals in the things of which they boast. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their actions." (2 Corinthians 11:12-15)
