The Lord's Prayer - God Bless the Queen!

"After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen." (Matthew 6:9-13 KJV) 

I watched the funeral service of the Queen Elizabeth II the morning of September 19, 2022 and was surprisingly moved by the emphasis on her faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. The Queen planned her funeral to share her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It will be what I remember most about her. She knew her funeral would be viewed by billions of people on television - and she made sure it was a testimony to her faith in Jesus. I was especially moved by the whole congregation repeating the Lord’s prayer quoted above.

That same prayer was banned from our schools by the Supreme Court of the United States in 1962 - it will forever mark the beginning of the demise and fall of our Republic. How incredibly stupid! Before that ruling we could truthfully proclaim our country as one nation under God. To do so today is simply false.

So, for me, the final prayer in our Bible has become my hope...

“...come swiftly, Lord Jesus..." (Revelation 22:20-21)
