May 17th - Deceitful Workers

“For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light…" (2 Corinthians 11:13-14)

Jesus had this to say about such people 2000 years ago...

"You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” (John 8:44)

These “deceitful workers” are found in all religious groups. Their methods are subtle, as Satan is subtle. All of these "false apostles" separate humanity into two groups - the saved and the lost.

Nevertheless, God will unify humanity. He will save them all out of death and change them into a united new creation in Christ - and, as I understand the Bible, even the "deceitful workers" will be transformed into the image of Christ.

“The wages of sin is DEATH but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord...who gave Himself a ransom for all...for it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven. And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach...it is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners...we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all humanity, especially of believers. PRESCRIBE AND TEACH THESE THINGS..." (Romans 6:23; 1 Timothy 2:6; Colossians 1:19-23; 1 Timothy 4:10-11)
