Speaking of Jesus, the Word of God declares...
"He did not enter by the blood of goats and calves, but He entered the Most Holy Place once FOR ALL by His own blood, thus securing eternal redemption." (Hebrews 9:12)
We are told what the acceptable sacrifices are now that Jesus has sacrificed Himself for ALL humanity. Note that these ACCEPTABLE sacrifices are NOT animal sacrifice, tithes and offerings, attendance at ritual meetings, baptisms, communion, bible study, or other things some do to please God. Acceptable sacrifices are "praise" and "thanksgiving" - that’s it - which can be done anywhere and any time of the day!
As we offer these continual sacrifices we should not forget to "do good and to share".
“...put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into your salvation…you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house…to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ." (1 Peter 2:4-5)
Our Salvation is secure - we just need to start growing up in it as we consume the "pure spiritual milk" of the Word of God.
In appreciation to God we should...
