August 5th - The 70th Week of Daniel

“Therefore, thus says Yahweh of hosts: Because you do not hearken to My words, behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, averring is Yahweh, and Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, My servant, and I will bring them against this land, against its dwellers and against all these nations round about…and this land will become a waste, a desolation, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon SEVENTY years.” (Jeremiah 25:8-9. 11)

The 70 years of captivity was to be followed by a period of time which Daniel call "seventy sevens". These seventy sevens were divided into 1) seven sevens 2) sixty two sevens and 3) one finale seven. The first sixty nine sevens would end with the coming of the "Messiah" who would be rejected. I believe the seventy sevens are 490 years and that 69 of these sevens (483 years) ended with the birth of Jesus the Messiah. The final 7 years has not yet began but will happen sometime in the near future .

 

"Seventy sevens are segregated for your people and for your holy city: to detain transgression, to make sin come to an end, to make a propitiatory shelter for depravity; to bring the righteousness of the eons, to seal the vision and the prophetic word, to anoint the holy of holies. Now you should know and be intelligent: From the going forth of the word to cause a return and to rebuild Jerusalem - from then until Messiah the Governor is seven sevens, and sixty-two sevens...It shall return and be rebuilt, square and salient, even in the constraint of the times. After the sixty-two sevens, Messiah shall be cut off, and there will be no adjudication for Him." (Daniel 9:24-26)

"And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many crowns; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God...And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written: “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” (Revelation 19:11-16)

The final 7 years of Daniel’s 490 year prophesy will end the “prophetic word” and Jesus the Messiah, the will reestablish the kingdom of Israel on Earth which will last for one thousand years.

If the return of Jesus ends 6,000 years from the creation of Adam, the final seven years will BEGIN 7 years earlier.

“Therefore, stay alert—for you do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning— so that He does not come suddenly and find you asleep. What I say to you I say to all: ‘Stay alert!’” (Mark 13:35-36)
