November 8th - Why Did God Create Evil?

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.” (Ephesians 1:2-7)

God decided and "PREDESTINED" humanity to be adopted as Sons through Jesus Christ before He created any of us. And His plan included that humanity sin and fall short of the glory of God. He created evil as the means by which ALL would sin…

“I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.” (Isaiah 45:7)

The reason He created evil is to provide the stage for Him to reveal His love, mercy and grace. He "demonstrates" His LOVE by redeeming sinners through the blood of of His only begotten Son, Christ Jesus…

“God demonstrates His love towards us in that while we were sinners, Christ died for us…God has committed ALL to disobedience, that He might have MERCY on ALL...In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His GRACE which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him” (Romans 5:8; Romans 11:32; Ephesians 1:8-9)

”...summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, having been PREDESTINED according to HIS PURPOSE who works ALL THINGS after the counsel of HIS WILL..." (Ephesians 1:10-11)

Yes, God created evil - but, God will save humanity from that evil and Christ Jesus is the means to that end...

"For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven. And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in EVIL deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach...the secret which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this secret among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." (Colossians 1:19-27)

"For even as, in Adam, all are dying, thus also, in Christ, shall all be vivified...that God may be All in all." (1 Corinthians 15:22-28)
